Both my children are autistic and lack speech. When
they were 4 yrs old, we had a feeling that they would
probably begin to talk by then but they didn’t.
We approached many institutes for treatment and help.

| During our search for various therapists, centre for special education and searching for helping hand on the subject of AUTISM, the search drove us nuts, we couldn’t find a centralized resource centre for autism on the web from India which was relevant to the Indian scenario, also the website could guide us, and give us the relevant information which is needed , and would provide us information on how to deal with Autism. We felt the need of hosting this “www.beingantara.com” website. for the benefit of parents who are looking for the information on therapists and special educators , special schools etc |

 My son Nikhilesh was born on May 10,1990.He was a normal healthy child, however we noticed that all his early childhood milestones were very much delayed -whether it was rolling, eye contact, clutching of objects, sitting, standing, playing with toys etc. In spite of our anxiety ,doctors whom we consulted, explained that this was a case of delayed development, but a major pointer that all was not well with Nikhilesh was that he was not holding his head. |
